Compared to the Apps that have ugly distracting backgrounds and ornaments, this Apps really this Apps actually much better.
Its laid out on plain pages... Soothing. Note when on a particular page, is the info on the page, the text more important or the green band with the name of the book? Think? My point... Make the name of the book 25% grey, so the eyes remain comfortably focused in the text content and dont have to struggle to avoid the band with the name of the book.
Light background... Getting better, still a choice of backgrounds would be nice.
Paragraph spaces, nice, but an ability to increase the size of the fonts would have been nice as well.
The Qurans ayahs translations are in italics. Nice. However, some Hadith also seem to be in italics, while others are not. Additionally, there is no information in this info section about the methodology used in italizing some fonts and not others - causing some confusion to the reader, without offering a way out. Not nice.
The Arabic versions of the Qurans verses should be mentioned along with the translations. Translations of verses should be bolder, the version of translation used should be mentioned in the info section. All Hadith should be in italics and their version of the translation should be mentioned too.
It actually feels like this developer is actually leaning towards going with the notion that he is actually keen to have people read the content of this App for long periods of time and many pages at a time. But even hes way too short of meeting the minimum acceptable standards of publishers and readers of today Islamic and otherwise.
Yet when you tap his info symbol, his other Apps are listed. Hes seems to be more interested there in trying to get you to buy his Apps than serve you with info on his App to help you with this App first, for starters, such as the name of the translator... Etc.
Anyways, since this developer has offered this somewhat readable App for free, and after having given consideration to other developers and their UIs out there, Im going to give him a five star for encouragement. Ill be revisiting my review for updates... In Sha Allah.
